I have examined the accompanying Ordinance, entitled

The Magistrates Ordinance, 1890

and I am of opinion that the Ordinance is one which is not contrary to the

Governor's Instructions.

This Ordinance

amends and consolidates the law

relating to Magistrates and follows closely the English practice as set forth in Jervis's two Acts.
